Hi,
I am trying to do a Lo-Fi sound (Megaphon or old Radio) with my Boss GX 700. Anyone ever done something like this and could give some advice?

hears an idea....get a megaphone and hook a jack where the mic goes.....stick a mic infront of it.....throw a dpdt switch on it....bam!!
real lo-fi!!!its hard to get a cool sound like that out of a multi effects unit...

Your best bet is a voicing filter, like the Electrix Filter Factory. Line6 makes a filter unit that could probably do the trick as well.

Ibanez makes a lo-fi pedal that accomplishes pretty much this task. I haven't tried it but I imagine it's basically some radical EQ and filtering. I've also had some success running the signal to be 'lo-fi'ed through an overdrive pedal in the aux send on my mixer and blending the clean and distorted signals to taste.
