Okay, Marilyn Manson's bassist Tim Skold has this very large odd looking bass, I guess it's hollowbodied cos it's got those S-shaped holes in it. Does anybody know what make and model it is?

im pretty shure its a Gretesh G6119B bass. I was really close that last time they played and i do remember tims bass. He had mostly black ones and a red/orange i think.

I thought it was a Hofner President or Framus Star but a Gretsch G6119B Broadkaster Bass seems very likely.

It's, like, bigger than HE is...

And, yeah, that does look right. Thanks, guys.

While on the subject of MM bassists, does anyone know if Jeordie White still crossdresses now that he plays for A Perfect Circle? I'm curious as to whether he just did that for his Manson look or whether it's an actual lifestyle choice of his. It would be appropriate, I suppose, since he's replacing a female bassist (I miss Paz, sniff).

naw, jeordie wore black jeans and a black (possibly charcoal) shirt when i saw him play with a perfect circle a month ago...

he fills the paz slot very nicely.

jeordie looks like a normal dude now... black shirt and pants (not jeans) when i saw them... but i bet he changes clothing... and it was dark in the theater... so its hard to tell, but looked solid black... in other pics he has grey pants (for lollapaluza)..

he now uses a Fender American Deluxe P bass... same as Paz... i think hes better than paz... at least alot more energy to the band.. but he doesnt have her voice to lend to songs like thinking of you and judith....

I think he kinda lost those antics in his 'transistion' from Twiggy to Jeordie... it was just kinda a gimmick I think. If all goes well, Ill catch them when they come through at the end of November, Ill pay attention for ya.

check out this month's guitar world magazine (i think).. there's an APC interview with various pics of Jeordie... he's all colorful with sneakers and stuff. as he says in the end... MM is more about image, lifestyle and art while APC is more about the music (which is better for him)

Ah.

Heh, I always figured nobody joined MM unless he or she was all about the lifestyle. And except for Pogo and Manson himself, Jeordie was the longest standing member of the band, so I figured he loved that ****.
