Im looking for a bass but i dont want a cheap starter bass (Squier P) etc as ive been playing guitar for 5 years and im alright at bass.
I don't like the way Squier Ps and the cheap Yamaha bass (sorry dont know model number) can only do a really rough trebly sound.
I want something that can do something smooth and bassy as well.
So, i was thinking of the Yama BB series, but i think theyvce been discontinued.
I tried out a very nice Aria, but it didnt WOW me.
Is the tanglewood Rebel good?
It's only 200 bob, which is great, and im gonna try one out soon, but what do people think?

As an amp to go with that, i was thinking of a Peavey Minx II. They any good? Also, as it's 35 watts, that prolly wouldnt be enough to do small gigs with. Anyway, those t2 together would be a kind of ideal price, although i am willing to spend more on a bass, but not much more than £185 on an amp.
