I was thinking of starting a side project with only the best people i can find. I want it to sound space-rock with some hardcore dance music. It's gonna sound sweet. What do you guys think. It's gonna be like mars volta meets some sort of crazy beat dance music. I am crazy about starting this. I cant wait.

What do you guys think?

Thats what my dad said too, he also told me it would be cool if everyone took shifts playing eachothers intstruments.

Everyone sings,plays bass,guitar, and drums.

yeah, have 'em rotate during the song, if it's possible. that'd be fun to watch.

just have fun with it, man. just have fun.

and groove. groove hard.

and long...

and sweaty...

or just groove.

that's the beauty of being white. people assume we can't, so we don't even have to try.

My apologies with the link. I am a techno-peasant(that was the first link I ever posted, anywhere).

How do I properly post a link???

Iced Guardian, For links you can just copy the address and paste it, as far as links go. The homestar runner site prbly won't work too well as it's flash, if you're trying to show a single strong bad email or a clip. BTW, I love that site so, pure comedic genius, and clean too! For me that is a plus, so yeah everybody check out homestarrunner.com if it's late, and you want to laugh.... sumthin...

I think you will end up spending too much on gear for very little return. It's hard as **** to do outside of a studio and make it work.

We tried to combine power noise industrail(pretty much really distorted techno) with space rock before, with mixed results. Outside of the studio, you most important piece of gear will be a mini-disk that everyone will have to play to unless you can find a guy with electronic drums(there is one guy in town who has them and likes doing that stuff, but I haven't jammed with him in years, and when I did, he felt most of the band didn;t understand techno. Which is true, they didn't really understand techo. Prog Rock yes, not techno

Basically, it will be hard, expensive, require massive set-up and strip down and programming of drum machine/massive time in rebirth editing loops. It might be worth it though, it will just be alot of work.

For space rock, buy a Korg Karma and play guitar. You can sequence the wierdest drum/synth lines it is a heafty expenditure though...1700 or so, but oh god do I ever want one myself.
