when i turn my rehearsal amp on, it turns on, lights are on, but no sound comes out. any ideas before i just haul it down to the shop? (solid state)

Before you run like a madman to the shop(and pay lots of cash for repair) try this:
1. Check if the speaker/s is/are connected correctly to the amp.
2. perhaps the problem is with the input jack - try to clean it up (from the inside ofcourse) wuth a cotton stick.
3. it could also be your cable
These are the main things that pops in my head at the moment. The main idea - Examine all the possible things that you can check without harming your amps warranty(in most cases - the minor things are the cause to mailfunction). Only then run to the store

check to see if you blew a fuse, that happend to me once
