I'm playing in a noiserock/alternative rock band.
Inspiration is my bloody valentine, radiohead, mogwai, queens of the stone age and surf and other stuff.
What would the ideal bass be for this kind of music?

Depends on how much you want to spend. MusicMan and Status make the best basses in my opinion but they are not cheap. The Status basses have graphite necks so warping is not a problem.

It's not for myself but just as a guideline for my mate.
But the money is about 1000$

I personally would lean towards a MusicMan Sterling. It's like a Fender Jazz bass but more versatile. You'd be hard pressed to find one for a grand though.
