I own a Taylor 314ce, and I love it. Playing it unplugged is an incredible experience, but when you plug it into a PA, you'll fall in love with the Taylor Prefix Stereo Blender. You have the option of using a Fishman Matrix saddle pickup, or an onboard condenser mic! You can also blend the two pickups together making the guitar actually sound a multitude of different ways. (I have a slight feedback problem using all mic on stage with high stage volumes, but I can generally avoid the problem using the "notch" and "phase" switches.) I played 4 different Taylor models before picking the 314; I played the 714, 814, Big Baby, and the 314. From my experience, the 314 played the best, but that's just my opinion.

If you've got $1,300 to spend on a killer acoustic, I'd definately recommend a Taylor 314ce.

You could get a decent price (well below $1300) from Chuck Levin's Washingtion Music Center. Look up their website. They are more than prompt and fair with Taylor price quotes. I too am looking at a 314ce and have done a lot of research. Trust me, check out Washington Music Center.

I bought mine for $1125. Cost of the 314ce is $999.99 so don't expect to find one NEW for cheaper than that. (Unless it's some sort of blow-out-once-in-a-lifetime-under-cost-sell)
