I'm sure it was a Super - I have great faith in the guitargeek staff and the accuracy of the research. But in the January issue of Guitar Player magazine (Santana cover) there's a photo of Zakk's pedalboard: Wah, Rotovibe, Super Overdrive, and Chorus Ensemble. Regardless, Zakk is more closely associated with the swirly rotating sounds than the Andy Summers "deep chorus" sounds - so maybe that will be helpful to people.

hello
keep in mind that zakk's rig is dated 2000 for a reason. next time we interview him (2003 I imagine) his rig will reflect any changes. that way you will be able to chart his rig's evolution over the years... although with zakk i'm sure it will be minimal.
In twenty years we'll have a massive historical archive of rigs that will be studied at the college level ...

Stagerigs 401, huh? I'd take it. Term paper on the Boss Chorus Ensemble vs. the Super Chorus and their effects (no pun intended) on the state of modern guitar? I bet there are Spark notes on the Web already.

What does Zakk use stompbox distortion for when he has a JCM 800?
