Hey there Geeks......let's see some of your craziest effect combos. For starters.....take a distored lead tone, then add flnger and wah. Season with a little delay to taste. Trippy!!!

Whammy Up 2 Octaves through a Ring Modulator makes a kind of Squealing noise that's good.

Space Station (on setting 8) add some Phaser and volume pedal for the swells with a healthy dose of 'verb.
Take a boosted distortion tone. Add some thick flange, through my CE-5 with a patch lead leading to nothing out of the output B jack with a large dose of reverb.
Crazy sound....i don't know why the CE-5 does that with the patch lead in but its funky.

Guitar-DL-4(you've read taht right)-Alesis Quad GT for Digital Distortion, reverb, chorus, and delay-Rat-Boss Ps-3 as a digital delay-amp
Creates a workable FM synth tone. DL-4 presets are backwards and autoswell. Very synth, infinite sustain.

boss rdd-10, turn everything up to full and leave it on, good god does that make some noise. when i had my korg ax30g, i used to put on the step filter with delay from my zoom 707ii and it made a really really cool sound. i tried adding in wah aswell, and that made it really crazy, but also unusable

Try using delay..whatever speed...with the gain channel. Then use your finger to hold string down in between the frets, then using a rubing motion go up and down. It shoud create an erie violin sound. after you got that down try to add colors, like flanger or chorus etc.

done on bass: hit a note anywhere on the neck and use a boss superdistortion/feedbacker on feedbacker mode. put the whammy in harmony mode. bam, instant organ. added bonus: spin the dial at random for an irish jig to appear. use loopers, trems, delays or what have you for a louder death. works very well in songs.

drive on amp accessed with delay on, in accordance tube vibrato set to high, a flanger, and an ossolator working. also by adding 30 band eq it can give u a real busy tune. by adding in a synth pedal, and a micro synthesizer withjn a big muff u will be out of this word on space rock.:D

thought process+basic pedals+lack of regard for the guitar=a world of new sounds.

Patches 20-23 on the Digitech Space Station. ... I think. Yeah. It undersamples the guitar sound so you get this completely screwed up broken radio dial sound. Heavy pixellation completely destroys notes, especially high up on the fretboard. I've been able to get this funky distorted percussion sound from using pixellation and pitch shifting (does anyone remember that LEN song that was on the radio, 'Steal my Sunshine?' The only cool part about it was the percussive intro, I can nail that sound with the XP300 and PS-5)

Sounds like Sonic Youth. When I saw them many years ago there were a lot of power tools involved.

Somewhat, it can be taken further then they have. They still have and know what tuning they are in:)

At various times in the past I have seen Squier Bullets (the new ones) and Hamer Slammers and considered getting one just so I could abuse it completely and not worry about the instrument.

I completely forgot about those. I usually hover around the 1-15 range (give or take). I need to play with my pedals some more!

I'm just curious.. how much do you guys typically see Space Stations going for on Ebay?
I already have one. I'm just wondering how much it'd fetch if I sell it. I don't really use mine anymore so I packed it away and put it in the closet (so that it doesn't garner any unnecessary wear and tear). I'm wondering if it'll gain any value at all in the near future, if it does I'm going to sell it because I got it for fairly cheap almost brand new.

Just depends on the week. I bought mine for $200 and some change, but it was "brand new". There are a couple on there now that are going for $100+. How much are you looking to get rid of yours for?

Saw a guy at a gig, called himself Destructo Swarmbot, just played guitar-dd3-big muff-some ibanez delay-direct to pa completely ripped apart his guitar and made a humungous amout of noise. It was something special :)

crank the marshall, use my me-50 for harmonizer(as low as possible) and octave down and then slam a E5 and gradually drop the whammy on my strat tillyou think you are gonna pull the screws out the wood. i got the idea from southpark. i call it the POOP NOTE. guarentee to poop your pants.

heres how i get my "surfin with the alien on a budget tone" since i cant afford a harmonizer, heres what i do, guitar to a cs-3 compressor, then ****load of digital distortion, from my zoom multi fx, then too le marshall, with built in chorus goin as mixed as possible, it actually sounds like the recording
