I've immersed myself with classical music for the past few months in my guitar class and I got intrigued by guitars with synth-capability. Especially the Godin ACS SA Nylon. Does anybody have a Godin? I just want to know if it's as good as the reviews I've seen on the net. I'm thinking more about playing a traditional classical but I'm so drawn into the Godin and possibly try my hand at a synth guitar.

I'm actually about to buy that exact godin you're talking about within a few months
I plugged it into a Yorkville 150 amp and it sounded incredible for spanish and classical music.

I would DEFINETLY look into getting it
It has a really nice sound, but it would be nice if it had a sound hole.

I have a Godin and it plays and sounds great. It is of
course a guitar that needs to go through a PA or amp.
It doesn't sound like a standard classical. That said, it's
playability and tone are unique and wonderful.
You'll really dig it.
Also, the Godin is the best synth driver available. It
tracks better than a Roland ready Strat. It doesn't have
a switch to move you from synth to guitar but that can be
done with a peddle.
Godins are great.

what kind of godin do you have woog? is it one from the multiac series? what pedal do you use to control toggling between synth and guitar?

i think the lack of a soundhole is what gives it that nice sound through the amp. But your right, Springbokk, it would have been sweet if you could play the ACS live and unplugged.

the ACS also comes with a Slim version that has a 1 6/8" nut width other than the original's 1 7/8". I tested the standard at rudy's in ny and it seemed a little thick to me since I mostly use electrics and thinbodies. but does the nut width affect the sound in anyway?
