Just wondering........how do you go about customsing a guitar. Say you wanna change the bridge (to floyd rose), fretboard (refretting), pickups etc. how would you go about doing that.......
Please put down some tips because I'm considering to customise one myself. Thanks
It would depend on what you are doing.

All of that is going to cost you some serious coin if you take it to a shop (which you should because they are the only ones who will do it right the first time).
So how do you find a qualified tech ? Go to local music store (or the national conglomerate) and say "where can I find a guitar teck/repair shop ?"
Don't do that yourself or you could cost yourself more money to repair/replace what you break.

trial and error,
seriously, if it's a fairly cheap guitar and you take your time, read up a bit online from those sites and use some common sense you can do alot of that stuff your self. i haven't attempted refretting yet so sorry can't help ya there. chaning the bridge could get tricky if your not good with working with wood. but basicly buy the floyd, change the pegs the bridge will press against, line up the bridge, draw an outline of where you have to cut the whole in the guitar(or expand the existing whole), drill a couple wholes, and chisel the corners out set the intonation (lol good luck with a floyd) and voila. pickups/ electronics are probably the easiest thing IMHO to customize on your guitar without doing any damage cause you can always heat up your sauderring iron again and redo everything almost an unlimited amout of times. but definitly check out guitarnuts.com for electrical diagrams!
best advice i can give is, be conservative, and carefull make sure you have copies of what the wirring looked like before so you have something to go back too.
hope this helps,
Derek
Although it's POSSIBLE to replace the bridge by yourself, I would consult someone who knows what they're doing before drilling large holes in my guitar...but that's just me :)
dude, if you think first time sex is nervous, wait until you put a router to your favorite axe for the first time!:)
Haha :D personally I would NEVER do anything to my guitar more serious than changing the strings...

changing electrical components (pu selectors, capacitators, pots, pickups etc) is ridiculously easy with absolutely no training at all, just get a diagram from a site and watch to not burn yourself on teh soldering iron.
refretting your guitar would be near impossible to do without some extensive professional training and usually is never done by anyone but a luthier
changing your beidge depends on what kind you allready have and could be very easy or very hard.
www.guitarnuts.com has very useful information

I do agree with you!!! I did crazy things on my cheap strato copy, but on the "serious ones" I won't do nothing but the set up!!!
well, I helped an electrician guitarist friend of mine to change a p'up on my stolen strat a year ago... with strats it's so simple...
