So I'm going to try my hand at circuit bending an old KMD flanger that I have. Anybody have any tips or ever circuit bent a flanger? Experimentalists Anonymous?

No but I'm intrigued....do tell me more.

Thanks for being the only one interested......
So far I have 3 SPDT's.....
One gives off a strange clicking sound to the whoosh. Another drops the whoosh down real low and feedbacks in time with the whoosh, and the last one cuts the swell of the whoosh so it stays at one level (my favorite).

cool. ive never tried flangers. i hope more companies make talkboxes that dont require two amps like the danelectro one. talkboxes are going to be great circuit bend targets.
Anybody have any tips
my tip:
try using potentiometers or resistors, which will restrict the flow between the bends. imagine all the sounds with actual pitches that are controled by a knob. if the knob is all the way up, or connecting the wires directly, the pitch is so high only dogs can hear it. get it?
try other parts too, like capacitors and diodes. in my experience, circuit bending with these parts make cool sounds but are not as easily bypassable as other circuitbends.

If you have any audio of that I would love to hear it.

I circuit bent a flanger for someone a while back. it was a DOD one. Turned out OK. Not too fun. Never did record soundclips. Flangers are often better just from trimpot tweaking.
