View Full Version : Good, Portable Bass Rig?
Ok, heres the deal...today my band (Glu) had their first gig with our new lineup which now includes my sister on bass...anyway we hired a Bass Rig as she doesnt have one (Peavey Rack w/ Ampeg Quad) and while it sounded pretty good its a damn pain to lug around such a big rig for shows...as she is looking into buying her own rig...i was wondering what would be a good rig w/good tone, but be a bit more portable...at the moment i was thinking about the Db700 by Roland...Any Suggestions?

you know, I have a Peavey TNT 115, 150 watt combo. Its not that big. And it sounds like heaven! so, that or maybe just some 150 watt combo, thats good. But when youre playing in huge stadiums youll need bigger stacks or just mic-it-up
If your still looking and thinking about the DB-700. Iv got and use the 700, and its great, i can get anything out of it, for any type of gig i want. And its loud enough to make your pants wobble. The cosm stuff allows you to program in settings, so you can have differents sound for different things etc. it is heavy tho. Very heavy. But on wheels its pretty easy to move over flat ground, stairs are a bitch tho. But yr gonna get that from most gig size amps really.
I recomend it anyway.
