Picking Techniques

I pick with my first finger and my pinky except for maybe, two songs. I mean those are the ONLY fingers I use. I started playing about 3 years ago and I wanted to know if doing this will cause trouble in the future. Also, do any of you guys pick this way?

When i finger pick, I pick in the classical guitar style with my pinky around the volume knob.... makes me feel real coordinated, using all ten of my fingers :).

I've been playing for 3 years, too, but my first finger picking style was the claw hammer, which is thumb, first, and a little of the middle..... I am quite confused as to why you choose the pinky over the thumb or middle, i mean, isn't it a little awkward?

i don't have thumbs, so i tape the pick to my finger.
