While playing (and without moving) my amp just cuts out gradually (that is, not suddenly like a short). Sometimes the volume drops completely, sometimes only for a moment and doesn't drop out entirely. At first I thought it was the cord shorting out, but I've tried 3 different cords (one new).
I take the cord out of the guitar and tough it and it wavers (cutting out) on occasion, so I'm pretty sure it is the amp. The amp is a SAMICK 80 Watt (LA 80 RC). It has a built in Reverb and Chorus - I don't use foot pedals. This is strictly a practice amp using headphones most of the time. I definately must fix this problem myself. Any help out there? This must be a familar problem with these. I really wish I had tubes to just check! Oh well. Thanks, Jamie
