I would like a bass amp with more than one channel, so i can run a smoother channel and then a channel with more thump and growl. Any options?
If it's a stereo channel bass amp you're looking for
how about an SWR Mo'Bass.
It can be run in both stereo and mono/bridged mode,
and has quite a few with analog effects, such as distortion,
chorus, synth-bass, octave, post-effect eq.
If you combine this amp with the Mo'Controller board,
you can switch between several different amp settings
while playing.
But if you're after a true two channel amp, I can't help you...
I can't think of any bass amp like that.
The only 2 channel bass amp I can think of off the top of my head is the Ampeg SVT-BSP preamp. The SVT-5Pro uses that preamp so it has two channels as well.
Other than that I can't think of anything else. You'd probably find it alot cheaper to get a good tube distortion pedal like a Budda Phatbass or a Fulltone Bassdrive to put in front of a single channel amp.
