Well, here's my latest GarageBand track:
Saturday.mp3 [3.9MB] (http://homepage.mac.com/d_halgren/Saturday-remix.mp3)
The tracks:
-*- GarageBand drum track: Live Edgy Drums 03.
-*- Me on vocals.
-*- My new Tele playing rhythm on the lead pickup, through the best approximation of the Fender clean sound I could get (not very.)
-*- Strat/JB, volume rolled off, bass WAY boosted, playing a sorry excuse for a bass track.
-*- Tele on lead, through a hot-rodded amp simulator (:52 to 1:05.) This is the only part of the track I'm happy with.
-*- Strat, on the middle Texas Special, through a really hotted-up amp simulator.
-*- Strat, on the JB, with flange, chorus, reverb, echo, compression, and some other crap thrown on.
It is very obnoxious to spend 6 hours on something like this and have it turn out so crappy, but I guess it is a learning experience.
Lesson #1: I need to find myself a singer fast. Even half a pint of bourbon does not make my voice acceptable. I guess it's "Satriani Syndrome."
