oh man these guirtars arre insane, if you thought maton acoustics were good, think again! these will make you droool! ben harper play a cole clark fat lady 1 in the "diamonds on the inside" video, that guitar is so awesome.
anybody know how much these cost?
I dont know the prices, but....ben harper had cole clark guitars build him a skateboard/slide guitar. It was a starnge lookin thing. Anyway that statement was of no help.

yeah i downloaded a .PDF sheet of the pricelist from the cole clark gutiars website. the fat lady #1 is $995 australian stock, and the skateboard lap steel is mass produced now, does it really work as a skateboard?

yeha it does, you just have the ordinary slide guitar and you slap the grip tape and deck over the neck.

I have seen a guy use the 'skate' guitar as his big entry, skates in on it then plugs it in.....
Anyway back at the solid bunya (yes that is 3/8th of an inch or so of SOLID Bunya Pine) Solid Bunya sides FL1AC {(Its not my fault I can't aford the FL2AC) - Is you price list dated Sept.2003 :D }.

sorry to let you all down like this. Really? It must have been the only dud one they've made. I've PLAYED six different ones and they have all been great, unfortunately they have all belonged to other people. I'm still waiting for one ON ORDER but they are going out the door too fast. Not sure the frieght from WA would be worth it but just in case what is the name of the shop?
As a comparision (so we know where we stand)what acoustic guitar have you played that was 'da bomb'?

i played the fl2a. it was so-so. i really didnt like the sound of it. mind you i was comparing it to a maton.
it takes so long to get to WA, and everything is so expensive. which one do you have on order NoFroBro.
oh thanks for the theory lesson. really helped. i may need you expert help some other day. Is that ok.

@conno182 - What Matons were you comparing it too?
I honestly don't (in general) like the Maton or Cole Clark tone, it is too toppy for me. But I did like the feel and sustain of the Cole Clark FL1AC (which is the one I have on order) for AU$1 195.00 it is hard to beat and the equivalently priced Matons were not (IMHO) as good.
You are welcome to any help I can give you theory wise or otherwise. Look forward to hearing you on a WA indie release soonest. :)

i was comparing it to the 325ce. it felt a little better in the hands and it had a good pickup. the cole clarl sounded a little tinny. it might have been a dud because the guys at my guitar store i work at said they were great and also sounded and felt wonderful. i might have got the bad egg. let me know when it comes in and send me some pics. that would be cool. those come with the hard shell case dont they?

The way I push the deal on price I'll be lucky to get a plastic shopping bag. "$1 195? Bah, I want to pay $3.70". "But Sir that would mean I was paying you nearly a thousand dollars","Just be grateful I shop here at all, and those Cuban Heels aren't shining themselves." I'm sure you've meet some-one like me...
I ended up ordering the fl2ac with blackwood back and sides, and bunya top. It arrives in about 4 weeks.
conno182: Did you try the pickups in the cole clark? thats the real winning point for me.
The local music store has been selling around 6 cole clark acoustics a week, not bad going really.
