As crazy as it sounds, you can greatly increase your tuning stability after dive bombs and hard tremelo passages by taking a #2 pencil and coating the grooves in the nut with graphite. It prevents friction and keeps the nut from pinching the strings.
I tried it last time I changed strings. After stretching the strings and retuning, I did a full dive bomb, taking the bar almost to the strings, released it, and played most of the open chords, and to my suprise, perfect tuning.
