I can write lyrics for the life of me? How do you do it?

Practice, basically. The best writers write every day, about anything and everything. If you don't make it a regular practice to think creatively and put it into words, you can't expect to be able to write lyrics.

i think you should just write what is in your head. you don't necessarily have to rhyme or whatever. just write. and then see if you can formulate some of your words together into a song.

you can try writing in a story style, or something more random.

just start by writing about the everyday, a dream, a fictional character, a real person, etc.

sometimes writing a good tune first will help the lyrics flow out 'cause you'll know which words will fit with the ryhthm and what not.
