If B.B. King is the "KING of the Blues", who would be next in line to the throne??

clapton would be the first white waiter...
Joe Bonamassa is the next big blues player. I've seen him live, and worn out his DVD, and he is hands down the best young blues man out there.
Clarence Gatemouth Brown is my favorite blues player hands down.
Been meaning to check out Bonnamassa (sp) for a while...
I don't know about the heir to the throne but B.B. King is definitely the King of the Blues. Does anybody know how to play any of his songs?

I don't want to get slaughtered for this but John Mayer is awesome at blues type solos. You wouldn't be able to tell from his CD but see the man live, he is just doing stuff that doesn't really sound like anybody else which is awesome. He might not be the best but he's definitely in the running.

I just remembered something I wanted to mention, I actueally saw a video where B.B.King actually said SRV was way better than him. Now he didn't really say it like that but that was what he was trying to say. I just can't remember what video it was but I saw it in my American popular music class @ Sacramento City College last year. I think the argument that they have completely different styles can easily be made though, which would render them pretty much uncomparable to each other.
