Actually I don't mind the ashdown abm series amps either.

the bassist in thsi band i'm in has a mesa 400+ and i've never liked the sound. it's not very round or smooth, but i guess that's pretty much the exact oposite of what he goes for. everytime i hear someone use one of those i think they sound like crap. a lot of my favorite bassists use either the GK 800rb or old ampeg SVTs.... so i went with the brand new GK 800rb for $300!!!

Sweet! The dude at the blues bar last night was playing through an SVT-4 and a Bag End 1x15 cab. Tone was totally sweet and tight, and he was clearly having a great time on his 5 string tobacco sunburst P-bass.

i've got that same head as well.. it rocks man.. i love it.. it sings with the JBass
