I just picked up an Art and Luthrie Wild Cherry CW(cut away), this is my second acoustic from Lasido...the company that owns godin, art and lutherie, simon and patrick, seagull and norman. Its a laminated wild cherry top, with wild cherry back and sides....and it sounds amazing....i tried a taylor 300ce and loved everything but the price...same goes for an amazing larivee. and then when i was leaving the store i just grabbed this guitar down from the wall and ended up playing it for about 2 hours...comparing it with both the taylor and the larivee and a cheaper martin. The action on the A&L matched that of the Taylor but the voice of the taylor was a bit deeper, the build quality is amazing for the price...but compared to the more expensive acoustics, it fell a little short. In the end though I picked up a great guitar for $250 canadian compared to $2000 for either the taylor or larivee. I highly recommend anything from Lasido, especially the seagull line.

just my 2 cents.

Congrats on your new purchase.

Just goes to show that "it's how they play not what the headstocks say". I always did enjoy a good cheapy.
