Do they make anything like the Digitech PDS-8000 Echo Plus Delay Sampler anymore? I know that this was discontinued but, does anyone make anything similar to it?

Sorry if this question has been asked before........

Depends on your definition of "like". Are you just looking for a looper?

The manecoloopers are also nonstatic, if that's what you mean.

I have an Akai Headrush.

What's the difference between the Akai and a non-static looper?

Non-static basically means you set the time with a knob. It's like a delay pedal with long delay times that holds instead of feeding back or lowering in amplitude. So you can "warp" the speed.

akai headrush gives great looping/delay. i demoed one, but couldnt afford it (@ AUD$600, theyre not really within a students' reach!) i think thats the sort of thing your asking about, ive never heard of the digitech thing.

I sold my PDS8000 and got Maneco Nano 32. Had a few dollars left over.

You might look for a Digitech PDS 20/20 on Ebay - they go for less $ and can be easily modded to get up to 12 to 16 seconds of delay, plus they have modulation, unlike the PDS8000.

I second this if you want a low-fi looping solution.

maneco is the king of this though, pay less then a PDS8000, and get a amazing product.
