Colin Greenwood Question

do any of you know what kind of amp that could get me close to colins ok computer tone?(like on paranoid android)

ive checked out justradiohead.com and it says he used galien krueger(sp)

i also posted a similar post on talkbass.com to see if they new anything, one guy said that he has the same GK head and a p-bass and get nowhere close to colins sound..

he recommended trying out an ashdown because colin apparently uses them in the studio.

what do you guys think?

Indeed, he's been using an Ashdown in the studio most frequently. Those are pretty good bass amps at great prices.

Otherwise, it's all down to the ears i suppose, go out and try some stuff and see what you can conjur up. I mean, if a guy with the same rig has told you he can't accomplish your goal then you're gonna need to start a quest.

he also used ampegs for a while on the ok computer tour along with the gallien kruegers, its all preference though, they both sound like colin, once you get the amp, you just need a shin ei companion fuzz...

He still uses them, he's got two SVT-AV heads to replace one of the the Gallien Kruegers
