Instrument cable?

Is there really a huge difference between crappy and good instrument cables? I played it safe and used those expensive monsters and the really really expensive live wires....what about those $6.99 ones? Does anybody here actually tell the difference?

Expensive cables generally have better connectors, better warranties and better interference shielding.

I broke down a few months ago and bought a Planet Waves cable for $60 CAD, best investment ever, and the little clip that comes with them is great.

it really really depends, don't waste your money on the expensive live wires, they are the SAME THING. guitar center tries to sell you them because they get a HUGE profit from them. Monster cables, IMHO are worth it. I use jazz cables to and from my pedal board, then george l's between the pedals. I really like the george l cables.
