Guitar neck question

Do all guitars have essentially the same heel size, so that most necks can be put on any guitar? I'm looking to replace one of my necks with a fender maple, and I'd like to know. Thanks.

no, god no, hell no.

lol just kidding, there isn't much of a difference, i do know that tele and strat neck's aren't interchagable, well unless you want to spend the next hour or so adjusting the intonation. you're safest bet is to tell the person that you're getting the neck from what kind of guitar you have right now and they should know weather or not it will fit in the neck pocket of your guitar. If they don't know then find a guitar repair shop in your area, they will probably know from memory what necks will fit what guitars.
