Hi. I am considering getting a Line 6 Bass Pod Pro. Just wanted to get some opinions on it. I already own quite a few pedals that I use live, so I was interested in mainly using it to record direct into a multi-track recorder. Are you able to get a wide range of good bass tones by using this as a direct box? As far as live usage is concerned, I would probably use it for a couple of effects that I don't have pedals for and use the tuner on it also.

My rig consists of:

Ibanez Soundgear Bass
EHX Bass Micro Synth
rv-3
ns-2
od-3
cu-2
roland volume pedal.
Ampeg SVT4 Pro
Ampeg SVT Classic 8x10

Just to clarify, I am talking about the Pod ProXT (the rackmount version). Thanks for any info.

hmmmm...
i guess i can't give you any real solid advice here but...when this old band of mine was recording we ended up using a schecter jazzbass through the bass pod for almost everything on our record. turned out pretty good. i guess it didn't hurt that j robbins (jawbox/burning airlines) was at the helm. personally, i do a lot of home recording with a hot-rod precision bass into a regular old guitar pod and have always gotten very pleasent results.
