This is a blues primer that I still refer back to on occasion just to review and there's always some little thing that i've forgotten. I think it's pretty useful.

One band that helped me hear the definitions of each guitar in blues was an old band from the '60s called Canned Heat. They were excellent players and did some more traditional arrangements in the electric blues style. You can distinguish the lead, rhythm, and bass parts very well and see how each interacts with the other. Some of the songs you might want to listen to and find tabs for would be "Goin' Up the Country", "Bullfrog Blues", "Believe I'll Dust My Broom" (the old Robert Johnson tune), "Rolled and Tumbled", "Reefer Blues", "Catfish Blues", and there's a great live album they did with John Lee Hooker called 'Hooker 'n Heat". They more or less worshiped Hooker as a God (of course, who doesn't) and he really liked these guys.

Hope that's a good start -- 'and don't forget to boogie.'

i saw you put funk in there....
i dont know of any sites, but play this chord...

------------------------
--6------2------8-----
--5------1------7-----
--4------0------6-----
--5------1------7-----
------------------------

its moveable and sounds realllllly funky. (cant think of the name right now....anyone help?).

also funk is really in the strumming patterns, you gotta mute on up strokes to get really funky. (wah helps too)

learn chilli peppers and funkadelic to get some ideas.

It's like a dominant seventh chord with a minor third added.

Hendrix used it a bit too, didn't he?
