I havw never owned a Peavey Guitar until now, as I was given a Peavey Reactor as a going away present from my employer .....

I had played this guitar several times and LOVED the neck on it. Anyone else have one and love it? The electronics need to be up graded but the neck plays like a dream. It may honestly be the easiest guitar I have played in 18 years. I love my Music Mans, but this guitar really surprised me.

So ... I need to slap in some new pickups .... this is my first tele-style guitar. Any recomendations on what to throw in there? I do NOT want a thin sound. I want a good rock tone, like a PAF Pro would throw out, yet in a single coil space ... I need the neck and bridge positions obviously .... any suggestions guys?

And really, I know I got this free, but the reason they GAVE it to me is because I talked about buying it on so many occasions ... and yes VERY cool boss I had .... hated to leave ...

Thanks for any input!

Duncan rails area good starting points. For "PAF" tone you could try the lil 59'. They won't sound exactly like a 59' humbucker, but it's close enough.
I've never played one on a Tele tough, I played my friend's strat. They sound quite nice and warm.

Hey i grew to really like the sounds of teles so have been looking into buying one. I researched around and stumbled on to a couple comments about peavey's tele copy from this guy reviewing a G n L classic. He said peavey lost money making these guitars as they were good copies and were sold for cheap. so i found one and am buying. let me know anybody else who owns, one, any neccessary upgrades, comments.
