the input on my dunlop crybaby wah is a little touch. It cuts out the volume by half when the cord moves and/or step on the pedal the wrong way. If i stomp on it a little it kinda makes it work at full volume but i dont wanna keep doing that you know. i love the tone of it but it just doesnt work. i bought a vox till i can figure out whats wrong with it. What does it sound like to you guys? a bad solder joint perhaps? i took a loo at it a few times with out removing the pc board but nothing seems to be wrong. maybe i should take it apart and stuff... anyways let me know what you think .

open it up and bend the contacts of the input jacks...

I'd keep the vox and use the crybaby as a paperweight

If it's a Dunlop Wah, then chances are you broke the solder connections to the jacks. The jacks are circuit board mounted, and are prone to doing this if you stand on your cable.
What you can do is open up the pedal, remove the plastic jack nuts, and the screw holding the circuit board down, pull out the circuit board, flip it over, and you'll see the solder connetions on the board. Chances are they are cracked....they will be greyish, and you'll see the cracks......just resolder the joints, and reassemble the pedal, and you're back in action.
If this is too ambitous for you, your local music store should be able to help.

thanks for the help man. Yeah i kind do like the dunlop better than the vox because of the wailing sound i get out of it. I like to get that kinda Jerry cantrell awww going with my thang you know? Joe satriani has a good tone to his wah sound too and so idk yeah i am partial to it. But the vox is good too. I probably just ahve to turn the pot a little and tweak the vox to get the sound i want.
Anways thanks for all the help.
