Hey everybody this is my first time.I think i have a pretty good rig considering what inside of it.

GUITARS-Yamaha-I have never felt a better neck on any guitar.its tone and reliability are rated 10 with me.
GUITARS-B.C Rich Kerry King slayen signature flying V.this guitarhas awesome tone.

AMPS-A PEAVEY KB/A 30
AMPS-RANDALL RG100. 100 watt head and runnig through a randall 4x12 cab.

Effects-Digitech rp200.Would never trade for another effects unit.Ilove it.
Effects-DOD Death Metal Distortion. This is a heavy ass pedal.Has some feed back but can clean it up with a hush unit.

Switch boxes-Morley Aby Switcher to switch between the digitech goin to the peavey(for light distortion and crazy effects.By the way if ur lookin to buy a multi effects unit this is it.runs about $149.00 it also has some heavy ass distortion.)And then my DOD death metal through the half stack.

Tone-The way i like to set my distortion on my Death metal is accentuating the mids.Alot of guitar players do what they like to call scooping.Alot of marshall amps do this. For those of you who dont know what this is this is a way of scooping out the mids and leaving the highs and lows to do the work.To me this sounds a little muddy. You cant really get a great distorted tone by doing this.So this is how my settings are.

LEVEL(just volume various positions all the time)
LOWS-Cranked all the way
Mids-Around two o'clock
Highs-Same as mids around two o'clock
please send feedback I love feed back

Have you ever any issues with the stability of the RP200? I used to use an RP10 and there were many an issue of expression pedal, footswitches sticking, the LED burning out, and having to do several factory resets. The customer service guy emailed me back really quick though. Hope none of these issues still remain in the newer models.

Absolutely not.I have never had a problem with my rp200.Its built like a tank.If this pedal ever goes out i will immediately buy another.

My RP 300 has had a World of problems... it's crapped out twice, and for some reason my outputs won't work in stereo anymore. The channel switching capabilities are terrible, and none of the distortion has any balls. But, that's what you get for $200, and I still have it 'cus it does have one capability that I really like: I can jam on my guitar into the processor and into the headphones and not have to have an alternate output (endless nights of jamming in my bedroom, myself the only audience). But, if you're not too concerned with heavy low-end blow out your eardrum distortion, or you don't need to do any fancy patchwork live, and you don't mind if you have to reset the whole damn thing a few times, erasing all of your customized patches, then it's a steal of an item!

I have never had any problems with mine. I stil think that tthe rp200 is still a great pedal. If you do have any problems with it there are numerous things that you can do. But what RBmagnificent just posted sounds like a screwed up internal system. It might just be defective you never know. But i still stand by what i said about it being a great pedal. If anybody has any questions or comments please post like i said i love feedback.:D

I own a Digitech rp2000 no its not a mistype its the original in the rp series that they dont make any more.
I think its awesome I dont even have a head it does all my sound only thing i have is a power amp.
The only prob Ive had is the expression pedal it uses a light sensor instead of a variable resistor and the markings on the pedal itself that let the light sensor detect where it is rubbed off Im still screwing around trying to get a replacement. Oh yeah there was one other thing I dont like and that is when you switch a preset on mine there is this 1/4 second delay where it loads the new preset and that 1/4 second sound like an eternity on stage.
Have they fixed this on the new models? There is an upgrade available for my unit i moght try it.
Ive owned this baby for about 2 years probably more and I wouldnt swap it for anything.

OK i need major help my current rig is:

Laney TF 300 Amp --- Fender Stratocaster with Seymour Duncan at the bridge --- Marshall guvnor dostortion --- Marshall jackhammer --- boss sd-1 super overdrive --- digitech whammy re-issue --- boss super chrous

im finding tht when i have an effect on the volume is really quiet for lead playing (ie the guvnor or jackhammer) so would i be better putting the effects through the effects loop or slaving the amp with another 100 watt amp?

Sorru if this is the wrong forum but ne help would b appreciated
