Just have to put this word to write this here as on ARISTOPIA site Bezooomy is now listed as number 4 in the Alternative music chart. There are several song titles loaded on there by ONe of the vocalists who sang with Bezooomy over long time periods,,but the voted number that he named,as he loaded all of these with his personal signiture idea of certain tape recordings I mixed for this purpose as- "psycology-frued remix",now thatll turn you up to THINK that this is ,without question. So,what is then "Andy Warhole prediction that soon all will become Estate Agents of all pockets of space"is the assumption that you can now tune to turn word to discuss and discussion of all media as it continues in its assumed path, theories of hallucined drivers of obviose assumptions as the that this is.This so how marvellous is the question then at this now that what this means, and why does what does Alternative music mean at this point of those who say that this Bezooomy track is that, and vote it as a particuler of that,in listed number idea as the crucial resounding element at this juncture of this, why,or what, type of defined odment of imperitive exact idea as reason or sum?

Not a translator. It's something like an aggregator; takes sentence fragments from many sources and makes a hash out of them.

A random arrangement of words is funny? oooooo-kay, whatever gets you off.

But here's the deal, the religious threads don't get people banned. People's *words* and *actions* get them banned. I'd also venture to guess that more people have been banned outside of the religious debates than ones that have engaged in the debates. Actually, I don't recall anyone getting banned because of the religious debates.

Let's go tit-for-tat on this one :

Bezooomy is out and religous debates are out ...

Let's keep it a little more fair-minded and easier for the mods: Trolls out, people who make personal attacks out (under their real user name or a fake one). Otherwise if you don't like threads of a certain subject don't stick your pointer on the thread title and click on it.

That would be a much simplier and much more easily inforced way to handle it.

That argument is so lame.

Is GG a community? If so, I have the right to go wherever I please and if I see that things are out of control I have the right to point it out to the Geeks, mods, and HC. Crack houses are ok as long as you don't go into them and ignore them?

And your analogy to crack houses is lame.

But regardless, what you might see as "out of control" doesn't mean everyone else sees it as "out of control". In fact, the recent poll suggest that the vast majority of Geeks don't won't religious threads banned. So, you're in the minority on this one.

So basically what we have here is a double-standard. You want to go where you please, but if something makes you uncomfortable you want it banned. By calling for this ban, and if implimented you are taking away rights from other geeks to go where they please and talk about what they want. By your argument above you want your cake and you also want to eat it.

But I think you're verging on the ultimate hypocrisy, aren't you the guy who created fake accounts so you could hurl stones and harrass other members of this board? Wouldn't you agree that actions such as that are far more damaging, disingenuous and "out of control"?

Banning: To prohibit, especially by official decree.

Quote by Motorhead:

saying something is out is the same thing as banning it. To put in simplier terms, wanting something prohibited is wanting something banned.

Yes, and I got banned.

So, that makes you the last person to have any credibility to suggest about the direction of GG and what actions the Mods and HC should take(and a hypocrite at that). Your past actions put your intentions and credibility into question. It wouldn't be a stretch to infer that your intentions and history aren't sincere about the well-being and future of guitargeek.

Bezooomy for Religious threads was a joke. This is not a hostage taking :) anyone with a sense of humour could figure that one out. I assume someone would call me on it if the missed the punch line ... well I guess you just did.

I was banned for using my access to technology and that got the HC obviously very annoyed. So a compromise was made and in the end it added a few line in GG's 'code of conduct'.

I haven't heard from the HC on that matter since GuitarGeek (the Member and HC) explained how proud he was of me as being a model reformed Geek. I don't live in a glass house anymore so keep firing away while I handle the technical questions in the other forums.

Not true. Most people have a hard time figure out what you're talking about most of the time because you can be so vague and unclear. And I think now you're making it as a joke since we called you on it. That's fairly obvious since everyone knows you want religious threads gone.

I was banned for using my access to technology and that got the HC obviously very annoyed.

No, it has nothing to do with your access to technology, it has to do with your disingenuous and harmful use of technology.

Great! Now you are finally getting the picture. Stick to your technical posts and ignore the deprogramming and debriefing since it annoys you so much and makes you uncomfortable. I think self-responsibility is a far more elegant and simple solution to your problems, no need to get more rules in place when it can be solved all by yourself.

You're right that is how it starts, someone makes a silly comment (in this case me), someone else points it out, the first person attempts to defend themselves... you know the rest.

My comment wasn't really necessary and wasn't directed at anyone specifically, so as such it should probably be ignored. Cobb's point is a good one, if we all ignore petty insults and snide remarks like mine and stick to debating the main points then they'll be less bickering, and if people like me could stop making them in the first place there'd be even less

Personally I'd like to see everyone start showing a little more restraint, myself included.

Thank you, spongemonkey.

I realized over the course of the last few weeks that nothing is going to change in the way people have called for without people actually taking steps to make that change a reality. It's interesting to see people point out the obvious problems that exist but then continue along the same behaviour. It makes one question whether the problem is even real or if people just don't see how to go about making change.

I figure I could be one to help usher in this change through my own actions and that might influence others to take their own steps to change. It has to start at the source, and that source is each and everyone of us.

I'd like to see this change occur because people sincerely want it, not through more rules and more heavy-handed moderation. I believe the only way to have true virtue is by allowing people the freedom the be virteous by their own volition, not through the dictation of behaviour.
