What i need to know is how the hell you do an open harmonic?

I know how to do natural and pinched but not open!!!

If anyone knows how to play the song please help, or if you've just got a guitar players brain and know how to de em'.....ohh just hep me!!!!!

Thanks in advance

I'm asuming an open harmonic would be a pinch harmonic(or artificial harmonic, depending on what you called it) played on an open string

Idunno but There are 2 regular harmonics around the 2nd and 3rd frets that sound perfect for the main riff. heplays it like that live too I think.

Im guessing you'd do a pinch harmonic on that string between the 2nd and 3rd frets.

im thinking natural harmonic like Gdan, located about in the middle of the 2nd fret (where a inlay/fret marker would be).. just put your finger around those two frets and mess around with it untill it sounds right, there's a lot of harmonics around there.

these are used in staind's "mudshovel" (dont really like the band that much, but i still think that song kicks ass) and smasing pumpkins's "zero"

Yeah, there is a real nu-metal sounding harmonic at about 2 3/4 fret... its really fun to play.

And if you wanna sound angsty- replace muted rhythm strings with a few strums of this harmonic... its killer.

that song is played on a 7string so it will be kind of hard to make it sound exacly like the song but the first thing to do is to tune the E string down to A. Then you put on a really good fuzz and play like this: just put your finger gently on the string and move it like a slide over the A string and hear the pitch in the tones change, do it carefully and slow... then you find the right tones for Citizien Erased.... A----0--0--AH---0--AH etc.

just try...
