whats a good song to learn ????

most primus songs are good. but unless you have a 6 string, you're stuck.

also a lot of motown era has easy to comprehend basslines, but are still genius.

check out James Jamerson. his style has been rehashed by many.

Start from Reload and work your way back through the catalogs. The first album, Kill Em All, is the toughest.

Its difficult to say, medium difficulty could be pretty much anything. I say your safe with Chilli Peppers and Rage against the machine stuff. There not impossible but just require a bit of attention. Id say your lookin at higher levels if your goin for primus, he's a bass god.

Go with tool and weezer and sublime and 311 they have really hard bass lines in some songs.

My recomendation: Led Zeppelin's Black Dog,Whole Lotta Love.
Black Sabbat's Bass lines are pretty easy and cool too

"Nothing to Gein" by Mudvayne. this song will take you through just about every musical genre there is and still kick your ass. starts of rocking, then funky ass groove lines, then some odd math based lines, then rock etc. download then decide if you can handle it. Even if it isnt your kind of music, at least listen to the technical aspects of it. you will be happy you took the time to do so.

I know I'm going to be lynched for mentioning Blink-182, but "Carousel" is a fun and basically easy/medium song. "Around the World" is a more medium/hard song that's cool.

well... i like to play Foo Fighters and Green day, yeah, those are my 2 fav. artists for bass playing... try learn some with them :) its fun
