You have to correct people all the time. That's the reason someone would call you a Grammar Nazi, and not just some geek.

I'm definitely in. I correct my friends' grammar all the time; it's the best way to f*ck with them, because they know you're right.

The only problem with The Grammar Nazis is that I can't stop thinking of tasteless spin-off jokes... (People who post legibly but don't correct other people? The Benn Youth! etc.)

I like the sound of "the Benn Youth" even if I'm probably the same age or younger than most of the members (18). :)

Aye, not the only one. :)

I utilize grammar good (;)), but I tend to not correct people on it. And I cannot spell that well.

+1, i had to edit one of my recent posts (today, can't remember what it was on) three times, for spelling and grammar and stuff like that...

I tend not to correct people, but i do find it annoying (to the point of having a go at them) when people speyke lyke thaz

(have fun working that out..)

i guess i think along the lines of "make it easy to read, and don't say stupid stuff without at least apologising for doing so"

sorry for that :D

I bug all my friends about their spelling.
I wanna be a grammar nazi!
Well...more like a spelling correcter grammar nazi person.
My grammar occasionally lapses into non understandable oddness sometimes...

If I see one more person type "there" instead of "they're" as in
"No they're not" and they type "no there not" I'm going to call down the wrath of the evil jungle gods to bestow rashes that burn like fire in places of great uncomfort to them upon them.

Perhaps you can be a sleeper Grammar Nazi. Spend all your time hanging around, talking like you learned your English from English as She is Spoke (http://crossroads.net/honyaku/easis/), and just when they think they can get away with improper use of the semi-colon, bad hyphenation, or using "their" as a gender-neutral pronoun when referring to the third person, you can get all Queen's English on their arses.
