Pretty good read
I read Chandrasonic's guitar tips too, they're a little more controversial, I guess you could say. I'm pretty sure one of them was hypocritical though, he said you should burn all original guitars and only play foreign copies but I'm sure his Strat was a Fender.

I read it too. Ah, everybody can have their opinions.....
I am very happy with my el cheapo Jazz Bass. Can mimic the original very close and was the only bass in the store to have hum cancelling....... Oh, and it was the cheapest available. So I guess he (and I) say: don't just buy on brand; play first than decide.........
Talent?!

After reading the guitar tips, I understand even why I hate his playing. "Burn everything made by Marshall on sight" Marshall has made some crap, but a lot of gems, whereas he's in some band ranting about "Fortress Europe", why doesn't he just move away?

Maybe he bought it in a fire-sale ;)

he has a good point though, because we actually dont need brand name guitars to have a good axe, and there are alot of guitars than can do all the same things nowadays, a tyler/anderson/suhr can probably do 3x the amount of sounds a fender strat can do, yet people still buy the strat, (then again those anderson/tyler/suhr cost an arm and a leg, so go figure, but they are amazing, and not that many people recognize them) but yet people still play fenders, because they would rather have a recognizable name than a good playing instrument, seems like a whole lotta BS to me

:P
Most likely his fender is a MIM or MIJ rather than a "Real" made in america one.

I suppose that would reduce us to his definition of Foreign Copy.
While I'd agree that a MIM or MIJ guitar is Foreign I wouldn't call it a copy since Fender still have a role in their production.
