i was given this marshall JCM900 dual reverb 100w head that had significant amount of water damage to it. when i first plugged in the power supply and turned on the power switch it shows life. after about a good 15 mins. i then turned on the stand by switch and plugged a cable in the input. the result was no sound coming out the outputs to the speaker. on the rear panel there are 2 leds the light up bright red. i checked the fuses next to these leds and turned out that one fuse still works. the 3rd fuse wich is the main fuse also works. as for the tubes, from what i know, it looks like 3 out of the 4 power tubes work and 2 out of the 3 pre-amp tubes work.
I opened up the amp and gutted the thing out. as i mentioned before there was a lot of water damage to the circuit boared and the chasis which i cleaned up. after the complete clean up to the insides was done, i was able to rewire everything back together again with out all the water damage on the inside. as a result of that im back to square one with that amp. no differences no improvments. can anyone familiar with this type of work help me out. i am very eager to fix this amp. any help is apreciated.
