Anyone done them? How much is enough for a decent but not crazy and scary trip. 1-1.5 grams is what I'm thinkin. Never done them before but planning on it this weekend.

Just stay positive and it won't be scary. Lots of mushies will just make it more intense, so if you make it scary, it's gonna be intensely scary. ;)

3.5 grams is considered a heavy trip (1/8 of an oz). I'd say do around 2 to 2.5.....listen to happy sounding music to start off with, stay in a controlled environment, and make sure theres some one there with you thats not tripping, or at least an experienced tripper. Last but not least, have fun!

I've done them 5 times, and I've always done at least 1/8 (3.5 grams).

As far as your question, it's really a little bit of both, and both are very enjoyable. I find, though, that with every trip there's a short introspective period where you feel a little uncomfortable, but at most it will last a half hour, and the nature of the rest of your trip just depends on your mindset and the environment. Find a nice relaxing place to do them, and wait for a day where you've been in a good mood and are at ease with everything. This way, you're a lot less likely to have a bad trip, and things will be much more fun.

yeah i definitely recommend doing a lot the first time (1/8 oz) and spending most of your trip outside staring at trees, clouds, animals... it's amazing. if you're in a decent mindset it'll be awesome. smoke a bowl when it's starting to wear off (note: the trip comes in waves, so when you feel like the tide is going out...) and you'll be completely retarded for the next few hours. oh yeah, and bring a really good book. it's fun to watch letters crawl across the pages.

You may have read my post in your thread, but in case you didn't, I don't do drugs anymore because I have an addictive personality and they ****ed up my life pretty badly. I can no longer enjoy their benefits (stress relief, pain relief, entertainment, etc.) for personal reasons, but I'm not gonna force my agenda on anyone else.

The way that you just dismiss all drug users as losers and a waste of your time is just limiting yourself as well. There are lots of great contributors to society that just like to do their thing on the side as well, and if you could just open up a little and accept that, there are only benefits. You're not helping anyone, including yourself, if you simply dismiss something that is such a big part of the world.

By saying you're not helping yourself he means thats you're not doing yourself any good by dismissing the subject without some more insight, not choosing not to drugs.

I'm not telling you to do drugs, I'm just saying that by acknowledging that some people choose to do them and that it's really not different from many other choices that people make, it'll help out your world view. If you can empathize with someone and respect their choices, you can criticize them all you want.

Posting with the intent to annoy someone is a pretty bad idea. Actually announcing that you are doing so is an even worse one.

I used to have a drinking problem. One trip of acid made me re-evaluate my life and stop drinking so heavily. The only drugs I take now on a regular basis are caffeine and nicotine (every day!), and I'm trying to give up the nicotine. I'm not saying hallucinogens are going to magically turn us all into supermen, but they helped me through a dark time in my life.

Ummm, let's see.... They're really f*cking fun? First off, drugs are different from each other. Doing meth and smoking pot are light years apart. Personally I don't do any drugs anymore (other than caffiene, ibuprofen etc... and some fun little legal percosets when my back is acting up) but I don't regret the fact that I did. Certain things (meth again) are just horrible in my opinion but there are some positive effects that can come from smoking weed or a hit of acid now and then. I'd never recommend to anyone: "go do lots of drugs!" but alot of great music has been made by some people who were pretty high. I don't know what you listen to but if you think all drugs are "bad" then you should throw out your CD's of the Beatles, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Metallica, Nirvana etc, etc, because all those guys were higher than Hell when they made those records.

I'm bored this sunday, and I need sun, so I'm taking 6 grams and laying in the sun, listening to kyuss. I just have to say it, I have an ounce of shrooms, it makes me smile, and for once no ground! Just big fat stems and caps, I beleive of the golden teacher variety, or atleast it looks it from the caps. I love mushrooms. I think i'd love them less if I could find some lsd though. For a period of 4-8 hours, it's cool to beleive in ghosts and spirits again, seeing them morph from wherever your vision sets upon.

Well, this was back in '92, but a friend of mine ended up partying with them for like 4 days straight one time. Back then, it was lots of drinking, coke, and Kirk was trying to get my buddy to find peyote. I guess because we live in Arizona he thought that peyote is everywhere here, although I've actually never seen it.
This friend of mine was in a band that was playing at a famous dive bar called the Jar, and Kirk and James actually came in and jammed with his band. After that, we didn't see him for days, and he looked really bad when he came back to work.

Would it be best that I not grind it at all? And is it possible to say drink shrooms cold? Every method of drinking shrooms involves heat, does it need that to be activated?

My friend raves for excellent shrooms are in tacos. Beef, chicken, or chickpeas. Just rip them up, and lay your meat or substute of choice on them. Top up your tacos like normal.

Suposedly, you cant even taste them, served in such a way.

They say that intense heat actually kills the effect of the psylobin or whatever the chemical is in the mushrooms. Thats why most recipes call to put the shrooms in after the cooking process so that they don't become useless. I suppose that most recipes are for hot food because cold shrooms would taste like old balls.
