Ground Control Pro

I'm interested in buying a Line 6 POD xt and right now I have a Ground Control Pro and a GCX Audioswitcher with 8 stompboxes. Does anyone know if I can enable the 8 switches on the top for instant access to turn on/off each pedal and still control patches of the POD? I want to be able to use the POD for my basic tonal needs, but be able to turn on or off another of my effects to get a more versatile combination of tonal options. If anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

Also, is the Line 6 POD xt even compatible with the Ground Control Pro?

i believe that the ground control pro is compatable. you can download the manual off their website. i think i remember reading about getting the pod working with the ground control pro.

Does anyone know if I can use the top 8 instant access switches on the Ground Control Pro to turn on/off effects loops in the GCX Audio Switcher and still use the Ground Control Pro to control the POD xt?

You can set it up to have the top 8 buttons for instant access and 1-4 for program changes. This is taken straight from the manual @ the voodoo lab website.

"4 PRESETS / BANK WITH INSTANT ACCESS

Using 4 presets/bank allows you to select your presets using only buttons [1] through [4] on the bottom row. This frees the upper two rows to give you 8 instant access buttons. You can define the function of each instant access button in the “Instant Access� section of Setup mode. The default is for them to control the eight loops of your GCX Guitar Audio Switcher."
