YA know those little USB drive things? I'm looking for one? And techie geeks have advice on what to look into. My budget is $100USD tops, it'll be used for school work and such. Thanks in advance.

You can get a 512mb stick for less than fifty. That's almost the capacity of a cd-r and should be more than most people need. They range in the same size RAM does. 64, 128, 256, 512, 1g, 2g etc.

I know all this, I was sorta looking for some brands that geeks would reccommend. I have no clue where to start on these things, only that I need/want one.

Oh... well they're all pretty much the same, to be honest. A flash drive is a flash drive is a flash drive, pretty much.

Anything USB 2.0 compatible is going to be really fast, assuming your computer has it too. I like the design of SanDisk ones, personally, since the cap is more difficult to lose since it fits on the back. Other ones might do that too, but I like my SanDisk because of it. Verbatim ones Ive read are the fastest but I doubt it makes much difference.

I use a Sandisk Cruzer Micro. It's a 256 meg version, but I got it for like $25, so I'm not complaining. I keep it on my keyring, because I would definitely have lost at least three by now.
But it doesn't matter really what brand you get, as long as you have enough capacity (which is your preference) and that it and the computers you use have USB 2.0.
