I was looking into buying a PODxt, but one of my friends said that it would be better to buy a PODxt Live. I have a Ground Control Pro and a Boss expression pedal that I could use to control the PODxt. I'd rather just buy the PODxt, but I don't know if there are other differences. Is there any benefit to the PODxt Live other than the fact that it is controllable at your feet?
I would think the XTL would be redundant with your Ground Control Pro. Use the midi from the GCP to the POD XT.

i personally went with the xt live. but thats because i didnt have the dough to shell out for the floor controller for the pod xt pro. but you already have a controller so go for it.
If youre going to use it for recording and for stage. if you need something versatilke like that then sure get the pro. the pro has many more out puts for recording use. plus many musicians have it in their rackmount.
get the floorboard for stage use. its definitely worth it. the pod xt is a definite must have. hope you have fun with it.

If you already have the floorboard, I guess the xtPro. Other than the Pro having more outputs (I hear), they are the same, sound-quality-wise, but I believe you get more FX models with the xtLive. I went with the Live because I'm mainly using it, you guessed it, LIVE, so it's great for me having the footswitches built-in. Either way, I think you'll dig the POD, I've been just blown away by mine. Technology has come so far in the last few years.

I'm always used just an amp and pedals but am looking at some of the multi-effects units and the Pod stuff seems to be very popular. I'm considering the Pod XT Live....what does the XT Pro have that the live doesn't? The Live's about $300 less on the sites I've looked at and you get the pedalboard.

I think the only difference is that the Pro is rackmountable and has some more inputs/outputs, and I'm pretty sure the xtLive ships with more effects than the Pro.
Hey, jonpollock, does your can really have a picture of Che' Guevara on it? What are you, some kind of commie?:)
