Question: would one be able to put this in the effects loop of an amp?

It seems like it takes a line level signal, and returns the same after effects are added, so one could insert it in the loop of a guitar head. With this, one could record without a mic (or with one too, since it has both inputs), while getting all the great Line 6 effects, while also playing live through a cabinet. Is this too good to be true?

Correct me if I'm stupid: this thing will take the output of a preamp, add amp models and effects, record it or a mic'ed amp, and send the result out to either 'phones or a power amp? And it's stereo?

Somebody stop me before I go too far off the deep end...
