In response to the Losing It thread, which artists/bands never lost it or have improved over time.
I'll start it out with The Flaming Lips, and Fugazi.

Foo Fighters - the new album is the best yet
Tom Petty - his last album was very good for an old guy
Coldplay - getting better
Travis - I think the new album is going to be the best yet
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way is genius
Incubus - also getting better

Tool isn't getting worse
King Crimson is still awesome
R.E.M. is kicking some ass
The last Nine Inch Nails album was incredible IMO

i'll second coldplays improvements.

tool seems to improve with every album (in my opinion)

rhcp has matured, i just dont know if i like them like that

in MY opinion radiohead progresses.. no one hate me. the impossible follow up to OK Computer was something very different, then HTTT sort of combined those two directions. Im not really solid on my opinion, I like the bends a lot too, and could have gone with more radiohead like that, but Kid A style radiohead is very satisfying to ME

dredg only has two albums, and one rocks hard while the other is more dream like, id like to see where they go from there when their two directions that they've taken merge.

chevelle looks promising.. i dig them very much for a new radio-rock group. not enough material to tell however

i saw pearl jam live back in april, and while i like the stuff off Ten and Vs. much better than the newer stuff.. they still put on a helluvva show

U2- draw a secant line from The Unforgetable Fire to All That You Can't Leave Behind and you would see a steep upward slope.

I agree with the Tool comment. They just keep getting better... or the same at least. :) You can't say they got any worse. ;)

Mmm, Radiohead for sure... But if we're talking genuine oldies, Tom Waits is still going strong after 30 years, and New Order too - Get Ready was a career highlight in my opinion...

Neil Young has continued to evolve with time. I doubt that he has any second guesses about the music he created. You may love the older stuff, but Are You Passionate? was pretty good too.

Yes Formica !!! Tom Waits has been rocking on his last fewn albums. Also Johnny Cash's "America" albums rock, who else could cover NIN, U2 and Nick Cave; and do it well.

Matt Parker and Trey Stone's band is called DVDA and they actually have albums out. They did the entire soundtrack to "Orgasmo" too.

I agree with the Beatles and Pixies (I know, I know!). Also, Nine Inch Nails was a good pick...I feel that Trent Reznor really came into his own with The Fragile. Can't wait to hear some new stuff, but it's probably going to take another year or two.

Sonic Youth, Man... or Astro-man?

i think murray st. is the most fascinating thing Sonic Youth have done. And the two last albums from the astroman collective were just fantastic.

my two favourites are favourites for a reason.
