Hey guys. Long time, no post :) ANyways, I recently bought a M-Audio 1x1 USB Midisport so that I could use my Microkorg as a synth controller for softsynths. I have this NativeInstruments Pro-52 Synth plugin dealy that has some pretty sweet softsynths that I can now play and edit very easily with my microkorg as a controller.
I want to be able to record these softysynths as I play them but I can't find a way. I'm assuming I need some expensive software but I'm looking for something maybe a little less complex and something that could be downloaded (legally or non-legally ;)) I have fruityloops and I think there may be a way to do this in there but I'm not sure.
Also, I'm now able to use the microkorg midi editor that I downloaded from the korg site, but I can't hear the playback so editing is pretty much useless. How can I get the synth to play back as I'm editing it on the comp?
One more thing, on the midisport, it has 1 midi in and 1 midi out and corresponding LED's that light up when connected to the midi controller. I have the microkorg hooked up to the in and out but only the "midi in" LED is on and the "midi out" LED is not lit up, even tho it is connected. How can I fix this?
Sorry for this essay, I'm just a total newb when it comes to midi and midi sequenceing and such. If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it very, very much. Thank you!!
