CLIPS: Shure Mics: SM57 vs. PG57

Did this side by side comparison. You can really tell a difference...interesting:

One mic on left speaker and One mic on right speaker of Twin Reverb.

The PG57 sounded a lot better in my opinion. The SM sounded way too bright. The PG had a nice balanced sound.

I have an SM57 and can never get a sound that I am really happy with out of it. I think I need to get some condenser mics to capture the rooms sound along with it. That or stop close-micing. I need to experiment with putting the mic a few feet away from the speaker.
