What do you guys think to this? I recently sent my POD back because it was a waste of money IMO, so I was going to use this with some software (guitar rig).

How will the latancy be? instant like the pod? Or will it use my soundcard?

Thanks

No one?

It seems really interesting to me, cheap computer recording for beginners and if the input is good, then experienced players after they upgrade to a better software.

Damn, looks like no one knows or has an educated guess or opinion, looks like I'll just have to buy it and find out!

I'm really surprised more interest hasn't been taken in this, cheap recording to pc, amp sims, drum loops and you can use it with other software?

Sounds like a good deal to me!

Ill write a review if anyone is interested...

Ordered it yesterday, £65 which is incredibly good for the UK price. I went with dolphin music for a change (I usually go with gak www.gak.co.uk).

Should be here tomorrow or day after, I'll post a review and some clips.

I want to know too, I just recently got a Guitar World with a little info on it, and wanted to try it out. Good luck with it.

That thing looks pretty cool.

I believe it would not use your soundcard for processing, since it converts your guitar signal to digital on its own. So, there shouldn't be any latency issues.

Another good product is the GuitarPort by Line6. I was surprised at how good those things work too.

You might want to ask around in the recording Forum for any specific questions about this stuff.

sad_machine, did you tested Line6 GuitarPort???

Thats my first choice, but i want to know if JamLab is anything good...

GuitarPort is a bit more expensive (Europe versions).

Ive been using Line6 Guitar Port and it doesn't support ASIO drivers so I can't use it with Guitar Rig! I have to use my Mackie mixer into my M-Audio sound card. So this would definately solve that problem.

I think that has got to be the ugliest design ever. It's light a lighter you'd find at Nascar in the 80s or something.

Looks like a good replacement for Guitar Port if you're planning on using Guitar Rig or amplitube.

Yeah, I tried it out. It was great, and a friend of mine just bought one and he loves it.

I'm not sure if the Jamlab might do the exact same thing though.

I'm gonna bring this thread back from the grave.

I recently purchased the Jamlab and installed in on my computer. The problem is, I can't get any sound through it.

The manual says that I have to click on the Jamlab icon in the control panel (I'm running windows XP) to get it to work, but everytime I click on it, it just beeps at me and doesn't open.

Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
