Im using an M-Box for recording my songs. Would it be better to plug my guitar directly into the M-Box or mic the guitar amp?

If you have an ok mic, you'd probably be happier micing it. But if you have the time, try both - actually an M-Box has two inputs, try both simultaneously and A/B them and find out for yourself.
Often in recording situations, direct bass or guitar signals are recorded, and are sometimes slightly blended with the the miced signals to add more attack. Also these recorded DI'ed signals are also used to "re-amp". Re-amping: the performance is recorded via a direct signal, and then the playback is put through different amps, micing configurations, etc. So a DI signal can be handy in that respect, but they are not generally used instead of a mic'ed signal (except in the case of basses on smaller sessions, DI'ed signals are sometimes used after they're put through some decent preamps/compressors).

Thanks! I'll give it a shot.
