I saw that most players use Russian Muffs for bass, any reason for it?

I had a Boss ODB-3 bass overdrive.. that was one sick sick sick pedal. If you've got a big rig, the ODB-3 will turn it into a monster.

For lighter applications, I dunno, it may not be your thing.

the last band i was in, i used a 1980s DOD bass grunge. that was the most ridiculously amazing bass distortion i've ever used. i should have tried to steal it when i left. anyway, i haven't been the bass player in a band for a few months, but in my room i use a marshall shredmaster with all the controls to the max except the contour and volume at 3 o'clock. i tried using my vintage USA big muff with it but it just didn't sound as nice.

The PD7? It's good, it's versatile. If you're looking for a really fuzzy harsh distortion, try somewhere else, it doesn't really do that too well. It's good for everything else though.
