I have a marshall JMP Mk2 and a later jcm800. These amps are both very good but for different reasons. The JMp is great however i use a single coil and i cant get that much out of the preamp. Basically what i want to do is go into the 800 (for the preamp) then out of the DI slave output on the back of the 800 into the JMP to get the huge tone these amps are capable of. Does anyone know the best way to do this? for exaple. Do i use a speaker or guitar cable going from the slave output to the second amp? And what do i do with the tone settings on the first amp? I heard a good way is to set them all to 10, however this might be wrong! I havent actually had a chance to try this yet, so im trying to find out as mush as possible! Any help or ideas much appreciated.

just use guitar cables between the amps. but don't forget to put a cabinet on both amps!!!!
a tube amp without a load lives very very short!
and for eq settings, just try, on old marshalls everything at 10 isn't wrong!

two amps sound great, the only problem is, it's very loud.... a tube amp sounds beter at big volumes. two amps run at 5 sound not as good as one at 10.

tried to connect the inputs of the jmp together? or a booster infront of it? or a big muff at 10.....

i love old marshalls.... lucky basterd....
